ODLO SPORTS WEAR

Designing a new store concept for Odlo sportswear

The brief from the client was to create a new retail experience for the Odlo brand. Creating a side-by-side customer/staff experience encouraged more up-selling and browsing.

Despite some poor winters, the new stores had a 20% increase in sales following the new store design.

The centre table was not only just a place to pay. Just like a kitchen drawer full of cutlery, for Odlo I created draws full of accessories and quick access products.

Taking inspiration from the modern kitchen

The modern kitchen is part of a large social response to modern life. It’s not just where we prepare food. It’s where people come together. This was realised by the large islands we see today. This aspect was taken to create a collaborative way of selling side- by-side with customers.

In response to the client's expressed dissatisfaction with the appearance of the product packaging for their best-selling sports underwear, we embarked on a mission to create an innovative and visually appealing display approach that would also be intuitive and customer-friendly. Our challenge was to strike a delicate balance between aesthetics and functionality, ensuring that the new display design would not only captivate customers' attention but also facilitate ease of browsing and product selection.
