Ugg moving pop-up
Creating a pop-up display that moves around different luxury department stores
As the interior designer for this project, I was tasked with creating a pop-up display that could be easily transported to various luxury department stores throughout Europe. Our goal was to increase brand exposure while maintaining a high level of sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
To achieve this, I worked closely with the creative director and head of the Ugg brand to develop a premium toolkit that stayed true to the brand’s creative language and tone. We used warm, premium materials, such as rich woods and luxurious fabrics, to create an elevated and sophisticated look.
To ensure the toolkit could be installed in various department stores with differing installation rules, we made all elements flexible and adaptable. We also prioritised sustainability by using recycled plastic Corian, which is highly durable and resistant to wear and tear, to ensure that the materials could withstand the rigors of transportation and use.
The rollout of the designs was highly successful, and the premium toolkit was so well received that it was eventually adopted for use in Ugg’s US territories. The project was a testament to the effectiveness of creating designs that are both sustainable and visually appealing, while also being practical and adaptable to varying circumstances.
